On October 3rd, 2016, MFP employees provided a home cooked meal to the families at Ronald McDonald House near the Loyola University Medical Center.
Cooking meals for RMHC families is a favorite volunteer opportunity for the Mullins Family and our employees. We are able to cook meals on a regular basis because our manufacturing facility is a short drive to the campus.
Not everyone is a cook at MFP, but they still want to contribute, so we provide pop tab collection containers in all of our lunch rooms. We drop off the pop tabs at the Loyola house, which are recycled and the money generated goes back to the house. Every little bit helps to ease the financial burden many of these families face due to long hospital stays.
Ronald McDonald House is a very special place and it truly is a “home- away- from-home.”
