May is National Salsa Month! Here at Mullins Food Products, we love salsa and we manufacture it with love. Salsa is great for dipping chips or other handheld foods, and it is the perfect topping to add that extra boost of flavor to your hamburger or sandwich. The term ‘salsa’ refers to any dipping sauces of Mexican cuisine. It is tomato-based and includes zesty ingredients like onions, chilies and herbs. While salsa is generally piquant in nature, the food experts at Mullins will craft sauces to your flavor profile - we make it how you want it. Obviously, we know very well how to whip up and package truly delicious salsa, but it is also nice to try a custom recipe at home.
The molcajete dates back thousands of years and was once used by the Aztecs and the Mayans. The grinding action of the molcajete releases essential oils of the ingredients you are processing and enhances their flavor. Grilled chicken or fish are out of this world when smothered in the delectable spicy condiment. Enjoy this simple and delicious Molcajete salsa recipe from Mullins Food Products, the most reliable sauce supplier nationwide.
